Dream Turn
By Jean Riddler

Time stood still as I began to dream,
A decade or century in which to weave.
I saw many places and touched many souls,
I walked with kings of future and old.
To fight a dragon or demon machine,
To me it became no longer a dream.
A fantastic adventure, the one I had sought,
Fun and adventure, I could never be hurt.

But in time the dream became a nightmare,
It was time to leave, like so many friends.
He's out there somewhere, still travelling in time,
He's much stronger than I am, that crazy old man.
The dream to travel became one to stay home.
But a piece of me is still out there,
Somewhere in time.
